Jedi Training Camp, for ages 7-12

July 11-15 • MORNINGS • 9 am to 12 pm

Grab your lightsaber, and don a brown robe (if you will), to harness “the force” with other young Jedi. We’ll explore the concepts of self-discipline, positive thinking, and teamwork, while learning to master the art of the lightsaber. Your abilities and progress will be put to the test daily as the team is called upon to battle foes from the dark side.

Stage Combat for Martial Artists Camp, for ages 7-17

August 1-5 • AFTERNOONS • 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

With this camp you will develop the artistic aspects of your Martial Arts skills while learning how to create realistic action sequences for presentation to an audience, whether that be for stage performances, demonstrations, self-defense routine requirements, or even future Exhibition Team participation. We will explore improvisation methods, work with some light weapons (plastic swords, wood staffs), refine our open-hand techniques, and focus on how to make action tell a story. Throughout the week, we will set aside time to work on a group presentation, in which you will work with others to develop a scenario and choreograph the action for it. On the final day of camp, the group will perform its creation for family and friends.
